My boyfriend beats me up but I still love him.

Good afternoon Ade. I read an article about domestic violence on your blog where a lady also narrated how she dumped her boyfriend that removed her teeth with punch because of phone charger.



I want to tell you that, my own problem is bigger than hers. My boyfriend, he has already beaten me up more than twice in the space of two months yet, I still love him. He legit beat me up in my own hostel because he caught me talking to a guy that he warned me not to talk to. The second day, I was the one apologising to him not to be mad at me and I will do everything he asked.
I know a man should never treat me this way, but everytime I try to break up with him and move on with my life, I find myself unable to do it. I'm stuck with him. Maybe my love, for him, is too much, or I'm just charmed, I don't even know. And this boy, he's nothing above average. He's just one of those typical Snapchat boys you always describe in your rants (I follow your rants.). I know that tomorrow, he's still going to beat me. But I also know that I will still be the one begging him not to be angry. Yet, I can't stop thinking about the man that assaulted me to the point of landing in the hospital.. My friends, they've all left me because of my situation. They have tried everything they can to make me leave him. They even went to him and threatened him to leave me alone. But guess what? He almost beat them up too. The following day, I was still defending him in front of my friends. Those that are cutting ties with these boys, how do they do it please? I need plenty advise.
