My name is Tope and this is my story. My rant.

Tope is a 20-year-old resident of Ogun state whose just about 2 decades of existence has been surrounded by sorrow, pain, betrayal, deceit, fear, and sweat. She has strived hard on her own to survive and in that course, her hustle has been struck several times by human betrayal and deceit from old and young likewise, people who seem to have no other motive than to take advantage of her vulnerability and need but she has always stayed strong in her resolve.

This has been my daily reading since no one is ever ready to help me without immediate reward which is SEX. I've been made to understand that help won't come for me unless I offer my body for sex in return but I decided to choose the suicidal, depressed and the narrow path.
As a young, hustling, fatherless lady, almost everyone I've ran to for help see sex as an exchange for the help they wanted to offer. I think this is one of the many reasons for teenage pregnancy and why most young girls become prostitutes because the so-called guys, men and old fools they run to for help emotionally, financially and even spiritually turned against them.
 I willnever forget Gbenga, an old baldheaded Sunday school teacher who I thought I could share my pains with but instead he wanted to be a sugar daddy to his grand daughter because he believes that's the only way he could gain from me. Old Fool! I told him I had rather to die than allowing a shameless person like him have sex with me. How will I forget Alhaji Saleh too, thinking he could use and dump me when I asked him for help just because he has connections with police but I boldly said this straight to his face "I will rather die than allowing a pig like him have sex with me" and I pray his children come across people like him too.
Ladies, I hope you'll be able to say NO to the old fools, No to sugar daddies, Yes to self respect and yes to a bright future.
