The society's fairy-tale woman and the reality men get away with.

34  years old Joanne is suffering from a severe concussion caused by her so-called husband David, after she bought her second car which he told her not to buy.

David feels he should have total control over her finance and life because he is her husband and the head of the family; "how sickening"! While Joanne was still in the hospital, David brought in Sarah his new wife to visit Joanne in the hospital, immediately David introduced Sarah as his new wife, Joanne fell unconscious, he just murdered her soul.

When the case was taken to the court of the 'head of the family' the final judgment was that Joanna should apologize to David because he is a man and the head of the family. 'what a judgement'.

When we were yah-high, we were taught that the man is the head of the family and of course the male child is the most important child, we were taught that as females we should place males in high esteem while destroying our self-esteem, we were taught that the man/male child has the right to do anything/command anything while we obey, even if it favours us or not.

A lot of women like Joanne have gotten their souls murdered by men, husbands, fathers and brothers claiming to be the head of everything, forgetting that without the neck the head will certainly wear a crown of thorns.

Global estimates published by WHO indicate that about 1 in 3 women world wide have experienced physical or sexual abuse in their life time; and factors associated with the increased risk of these violences including attitudes accepting violence and gender inequality.

In Nigeria today we raise girls to see each other as competitors not for jobs or accomplishment but for that attention of men, why do we teach girls to aspire for marriage but we don't teach boys the same, we teach girls to shrink themselves, we say to girls you can have a dream but don't dream big, you shouldn't aim to be successful because if you do you will emasculate him. Why should we rate a man so high that a woman cannot but think of herself as low as a lower creature?

Husbands rape their wifes and the family calls it love, 'how awful!', girls get raped and get the blamed for it.

The problem with gender is that it prescribes how we should be rather than recognizing who we are. Why don't we raise children focusing on their abilities, not their gender, focusing on interest, not gender?

The dictionary defines a feminist as "a person who believes in the social, political and economic equality of the sexes" the dictionary says it wrong. " A feminist I believe is someone who always envisions a just, democratic and equitable society where all persons especially women are treated with respect and are free from all violence and discrimination.

For I conclude that the enemy is not lipstick, but guilt itself; we deserve lipstick, if we want it and free speech, we deserve to be sexual and serious or whatever we please.

My name is damilare, and this is my story. My UNIOSUN story

I gained admission into UNIOSUN to study political science and international relations in 2015. I did everything necessary to make sure I did not loose my admission back then. I give thanks to God today, I'm a bonafide student of the university. Osun state university has been a very wonderful place to be, To me, it's mostly because of the kind of people I've met here over time, the diversity in people has actually changed my life. For better! I remember vividly, before I gained admission, I was a very bad boy when it came to ladies affair. I had dated all the girl in my street. Why? I look very brilliantly handsome! Yeah, with alot of swagger! And to cap it all, my father is a wealthy man. Getting to UNIOSUN, I met a girl, zenith.. I thought she was like other girls I had dated at home. I took her out for countless shopping, we visited the cinema countless times hoping she will fall for fine bobo. But this girl was so determined never to fall. Incase I did...

Questions you should ask him before saying yes to him.

The only thing that can keep guys awake in the night is when they have made a relationship proposal to a girl and she has left them hanging so she can go and think about it. Mostly, we know you girls are not thinking about anything. Your mind has been made up already. Asking us to wait is just your way of trying to test how strong our love is for you. But I feel it's time girls start asking their boyfriend to be critical questions before they venture into a relationship with them. Before you do it, think about it, think about him, ask him critical questions. Not just, are you sure you love me type of question. Here are five solid questions to help you to that effect and some intelligent answers you should expect from him. 1: What makes me special to you? NOT; why do you love me? HIM: Your head, your brain, the way you try to answer questions in class, your dreams, your focus, your determination. The way you speak. Your vocabulary, It's wow! That's why you're s...

How do people really fall in love with two people at the same time?

I had a friend once. Tall, huge, handsome, bright, top of his class. There was a girl in class he loved so much, first grade love. He would stay up all night watching her face, he protected her with everything he had. Then, there was another girl in the same class that loved him so much but she couldn't be with him because he was with another woman. She loved him so much, she could have sex with him in open market if that would make him hers. My friend asked me for advice and I gave him; the last thing a guy like him needed for his bright future was to be caught between two women that feels betrayed by him. A nuclear bomb! I told him to tell each woman how he felt about them and hopefully, everyone would go home happily. Now, that's just one story with a happy ending. My friend's. But it happens, people do fall in love with two people at the same time. Or so they claim. For me, I think it should never be that way. Nobody should be able to claim that they love two ...
