Broken identity.

Daddy only taught me to give
He didn’t teach me how to live
In a world far different from that
Which I was used to; momma’s pat
Was only for a good result;
No tips to live as an adult


Innocent, to this town I came.
In school was where I met the dame
Who showed me how to play the game
To survive in the quest for fame;
We found a family, broken
Souls in search of identity

My heart was wide open,
Ready to accept anyone
Who was willing to walk
In and never leave; but life
Taught us that society rejects
Those who seek help, and
Praise those who have sold their soul

Hunger tastes horribly, and
Humbles humans but it
Also heightens hopelessness.
My legs took me to a path of no return,
All hints of humanity left were
Bled out on the bed where my
Chastity was forcefully taken.

Even my sobs didn’t solve my sufferings;
My lips got tired of pleading for peace.
Forgiveness was a futile journey,
And forgetting wasn’t an option-
Not when he was in every red car.
So I smoked away my pain,
And snorted out all remnants of the past
